Search Party ~ A Scavenger Hunt for Health is Back

NORTHUMBERLAND – It’s the return of the hunt! The Youth Cares Committee of the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the return of Search Party ~ A Scavenger Hunt for Health. The third annual Search Party, in support of the Northumberland Hills Hospital, will take place on Saturday, May 7th, 2011.

Search Party is a fun-filled scavenger hunt for participants of all ages. Starting from Victoria Park in Cobourg, teams of up to 5 people will have three hours to collect items, take photos, answer trivia questions and take part in unique challenges all included on the Search Party Hunt List. Teams will be awarded points for each item successfully completed, and the team with the highest score at the end of the hunt will be declared the winner and take home the first place prize of $500. Prizes will also be awarded to other top finishing teams, most pledges collected and best costumes. All participants will be invited to the Search Party After Party and Awards Ceremony.

Entry into Search Party is a minimum of $20 in pledges per person. Funds raised during the event will be directed toward the purchase of a new vital signs monitor for the Emergency Department of the Northumberland Hills Hospital.

“We are excited about hosting Search Party again this year”, says Nicole Keller, Youth Cares Committee member, “It’s a terrific event and we hope to build on last year’s success.”

“We are pleased to announce that Bill Spencer Chevrolet has signed on the Search Party’s signature sponsor”, says Charlotte Blakely, Youth Cares Committee member, "We hope to attract the support of the community through other sponsorship.” Interested individuals and businesses are asked to contact the Foundation office at 905-372-6811 ext 3065 for more information.

Teams can register now at the event web site, www.nhhsearchparty.ca, with a Youth Cares Committee member or at the Foundation Office. Space is limited. Please register as soon as possible. Teams that register early will get a sneak peak at part of the top secret hunt list.
